Dear Family,
Thanks for all the emails. I appreciate you taking the time to send me some emails.
Well,
this week was interesting. We got 30 new missionaries that came out
this week. Four of them are in our zone. So now 86% of the mission has
been out for under a year. There are only a couple of missionaries in
the zone that have been out longer than me. The only new missionary
Idaho is Elder Clark from Ashton. He is serving in the Alpine Heights
ward, which is right next to Battle Ground. I will try and keep track of
him throughout his mission. So we have experienced lot of change
throughout the mission.
So not a single
investigator came to church. It was rough. The biggest disappointment
was A. She cancelled our Saturday meeting so we rescheduled for Sunday
morning and then she didn't come to church. We will keep working with
everybody. So L. was a member and she is not now and she wants to be
baptized again so we are helping her with that. She is awesome to teach.
Px doesn't quite the purpose of meeting with us, so we need to do a
better job at that. She is definitely interested in learning, but the
effort isn't there.
We got to spend a lot of
time with our ward mission leader, Brother Farris. He was released as
the bishop about a year ago. He is converted to the gospel of Jesus
Christ. He is really good at teaching the doctrine and I have learned a
lot from him.
For the record, I am almost over
my cough. I am feeling much better. Thanks for all the prayers. Also, I
don't mind telling people when my release date. It is July 5th at 11:41
(just kidding I don't know the time :-)) So make plans for reunions
based on that.
So for Jason Hess... my phone
number is... As far as the rules for that, only friends can visit (no
family). It can only be an hour for lunch or dinner. So pretty much
every day this week works for lunch except for Thursday, Sunday, and
Monday. Usually 12:00 works best. Yeah, just have him give us a call
when he gets a chance. That's awesome! Also, thanks for checking on my
checking account.
I also thought about Kimball
all week this week. It was funny, we had dinner with our elder's quorum
president and he is from Missoula. He actually worked at the hospital
there a long time ago. Then I climbed over the table in hit him in the
face! Haha. Of course I didn't really do that, I didn't say anything. I
just know that Kimball still lives and that we will all see him again
with our perfect, glorified bodies ad we will stand together before
Jesus Christ and worship Him. If it wasn't for Christ, all would be
lost.
I hope everybody has a great week.
Love,
Jaxon
